Indianapolis Metropolitan Police investigate east side shooting

Indianapolis, Indiana – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) has launched an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred on the city’s far east side.

Authorities were alerted to the situation at the intersection of North German Church Road and East 38th Street shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, following reports of shots being fired.

Upon their arrival, officers identified two individuals who had sustained gunshot wounds. The medical condition of one of the victims was deemed critical, while the other was described as being “awake and breathing.
