Indianapolis Metropolitan Police successfully resolve Amber Alert case

Indianapolis, Indiana – On Monday afternoon, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department issued an Amber Alert for three siblings believed to be at risk. This alert, however, was canceled shortly after.

Issued approximately at 3 p.m., the notification concerned three children, each younger than 8 years. By 3:30 p.m., the children were confirmed to be securely in the custody of law enforcement officials.

The individual of interest, Kevin Dempsey, 39, stands 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs around 165 pounds. He was described as having black hair and brown eyes. His recent transportation was identified as a 2014 red Ford Mustang Convertible with the Indiana license plate “KEVIN5.

The police have since reported that Dempsey has been apprehended and is currently under detention.
