Austin Circle K sells lucky Powerball ticket worth $50,000 for Saturday night drawing

Austin, Indiana – A Powerball player in southern Indiana could be holding a winning ticket worth $50,000 after matching most of the numbers drawn during Saturday night’s lottery drawing.

The Hoosier Lottery is encouraging all Powerball players to carefully check their tickets after one entry matched four of the five white ball numbers along with the Powerball, earning a $50,000 prize.

According to lottery officials, the winning ticket was purchased at Circle K #47, located at 714 W. Main St. in Austin, Indiana.

The winning numbers drawn for Saturday, July 11, were 8, 10, 14, 45, and 59, with the Powerball number 5.

Lottery officials offer advice to the winning ticket holder

Players can quickly verify their tickets by using the free Hoosier Lottery Mobile App, which allows users to scan their entries and confirm whether they have won a prize.

Lottery officials also reminded the winning ticket holder to take several important steps before claiming the prize.

They recommend storing the ticket in a safe and secure location, speaking with a financial advisor before claiming the winnings, and contacting Hoosier Lottery Customer Service at 1-800-955-6886 to receive detailed instructions about the claims process.

Powerball has remained one of the country’s most popular lottery games since its first drawing in 1992. During that time, the game has generated $38 billion for public programs and other good causes supported by participating lotteries.

Indiana has played an important role in the history of the game. Lottery officials noted that the state produced the very first Powerball jackpot winner in 1992 and currently holds the national record with 40 Powerball jackpot winners, more than any other state.

Meanwhile, excitement continues to build for the next drawing. The Powerball jackpot for Monday, July 13, is estimated at $478 million, giving players another opportunity to compete for one of the largest lottery prizes currently available.
