INDOT announces temporary I-70 westbound ramp closure for Aug. 11

Indianapolis, Indiana – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has issued a notice regarding an upcoming ramp closure in east Indianapolis.

From approximately 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, the I-70 westbound entrance ramp leading to I-465 southbound will be temporarily closed. Concurrently, the two adjacent westbound lanes of I-70 beneath the entrance ramp will also be inaccessible to drivers.

These closures are slated to remain in effect until 6 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12.

This decision has been taken to facilitate repairs on the barrier wall. INDOT emphasizes that such measures are necessary to ensure the safety of the work crews during the maintenance operations.
