Liquidation sales commence as buybuyBABY prepares for closure
Indianapolis, Indiana – The imminent closure of the renowned brand, buybuyBABY, has been announced. In the coming weeks, the retailer’s outlets across the United States, including three locations in Indiana, will shut their doors.
buybuyBABY, an established chain specializing in infant and young children’s merchandise such as clothing and strollers, is a subsidiary of the retail conglomerate Bed Bath & Beyond, which has recently declared bankruptcy. The cessation of both chains’ operations is underway, although an exact closing date is yet to be officially disclosed. However, it is anticipated that all stores will be out of business by June 30. Notably, any purchases made before April 26, 2023, are eligible for exchange or return up until May 24, 2023.
The brand has been operating with a $240 million line of credit. To repay a portion of this debt, buybuyBABY outlets have launched liquidation sales. While these sales can sometimes be inconsistent, the current feedback indicates substantial savings for customers. According to a banner on the company’s website, new merchandise continues to arrive, and price reductions range from 20 to 40%.
The company’s spokesperson has urged shoppers to seize these newly introduced price reductions while they can, stating, “We encourage shoppers to take advantage of these new price reductions before it’s too late. Whether celebrating the birth of a baby or a new graduate, or for someone who enjoys cooking, gardening, or decorating, this unique sales event offers something for everyone.
The buybuyBABY stores in Indiana are located at:
