Celebrate Independence Day: Fireworks and festivities in Indianapolis

Indianapolis, Indiana – As we draw nearer to the Fourth of July, it’s time to plan your celebratory activities. We have curated a list of firework exhibitions and patriotic gatherings taking place in and around Indianapolis.

The Downtown Indy Fourth Fest is scheduled for Tuesday, July 4, from 6 to 10 p.m., located at 500 N. Meridian St. This inaugural event promises to offer food trucks, beverages, ice cream, and live music, culminating in a firework display synchronized to patriotic tunes. Another option is the Double Trouble 4th of July Watch Party, taking place at Downtown Olly’s, 822 N. Illinois St. Beginning at 6 p.m. and running until 11 p.m., this event will have a backyard bar and feature comedy duo Double Trouble’s Jetta V, Tennah McDonald, and DJ Big Baby, ending with a fireworks display at 10 p.m.

Baseball fans can enjoy the July Fourth Celebration at Victory Field, where the Indianapolis Indians take on the Memphis Redbirds at 6:35 p.m., accompanied by a firework show.

Meanwhile, at Nevermore Union Station, 302 S. Meridian St., the event “All of the Lights” will allow attendees to enjoy the downtown fireworks show from the venue’s rooftop, starting at 5 p.m.

At Conner Prairie, 13400 Allisonville Rd., Fishers, the Star-Spangled Symphony will take place from Friday, June 30, to Monday, July 3, beginning at 8 p.m. each night. This event promises patriotic music, special guest artists, and a fireworks finale to the 1812 Overture.

On Tuesday, July 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Indiana Historical Society will host an Independence Day Celebration. Attendees are invited to partake in crafts and activities exploring themes related to America’s founding.

Simultaneously, the Independence Day Social will be happening at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site, 1230 N. Delaware St. Visitors can partake in tours, cool down with ice cream, and enjoy an array of family-friendly activities.

The Fourth of July Celebration at Metazoa Brewing Co., 140 S. College Ave., extends from Saturday, July 1, to Tuesday, July 4, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day. This dog-friendly brewery invites patrons to savor gourmet hot dogs, live music, and patio relaxation throughout the holiday weekend.

Lastly, Party like a Patriot is set to take place at The Garage Food Hall, 906 Carrollton Ave., on Tuesday, July 4, from 4 to 9 p.m. Attendees can participate in a hot dog eating contest at 5:30 p.m., vying for a grand prize and boasting rights.
