Indiana – Governor Eric J. Holcomb has issued an official directive for flags in the State of Indiana to be flown at half-staff.

This directive is in honor and remembrance of Indiana State Trooper Aaron N. Smith, who tragically lost his life while serving in the line of duty.

The Governor’s directive stipulates that flags should be lowered from sunrise until sunset on Friday, July 7.

Alongside state institutions, Governor Holcomb is encouraging businesses and private residences throughout Indiana to participate in this act of respect by also lowering their flags to half-staff on the specified day.
