Single-vehicle accident on Mooresville Road over the weekend left one dead

Indianapolis, Indiana – A tragic incident occurred over the weekend on the southwest side of Indianapolis, resulting in the death of a young man following a single-vehicle crash.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department reported that officers were called to the scene of the accident at 7900 S. Mooresville Road shortly after 7 a.m. on Sunday. The Decatur Township Fire Department also responded, dispatching crews to the location of the crash.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered a harrowing scene where a truck had veered off the road and collided with a pole. The impact of the crash was severe, and unfortunately, it resulted in a fatality. The sole occupant of the truck, 26-year-old Carlos Hilaro Flores Armendariz, was identified by the Marion County Coroner’s Office as the victim of this tragic accident.

The crash is currently under investigation as officials work to determine the cause and circumstances that led to this unfortunate event.
